Star of the North

Hailed as the marvels of human engineering, the six illustrious star fortresses guard the few passages leading into the crater valleys of Lux Aeterna, the Land of Eternal Light. In conjuction with the relentless mountain ranges surrounding the land, these fortresses act as the primary shield against outside forces, making sure nobody unwelcome can come in and nobody unpermitted can go out.

During the times of peace however, these partly autonomous fortresses are bustling temple cities of great economic, political and religious importance.

...The northmost fortress called Star of the North is revered for holding against the deciding battle during the First Demon Invasion against Branded forces. To this day it faces towards
Nox Aeterna, the Land of Eternal Dark, home to the successors of Branded who now live under the name Ashen.

Finally starting to upload these pieces I've had lying around for ages. Continuing my journey of building up a bit of a fantasy world little by little, seen here piece by piece. 

As an extra, a rough early reference of this area I call "Lux Aeterna", the haven for (most of) human race. The area illustrated above would be the northern fort: Map - Land of Light (first draft)
