Dawn of Solace

Though I possess no real ability to do anything like the picture displayed here, I still have the visual skill to at the very least... critique the work.

Positives:

I cannot tell you how simply wonderful it is to see such a work on dA, as there are only a few(As compared to the enitre community) that can do what we all have displayed here- your Deviation. I must say, the color combination, and mix is more than astonishing, as the detail placed in her clothing is simply marvelous. It is almost breath-taking... Canterlot, which I'm assuming is in the background, looks well done. and the lighting effects fits near perfectly.

Negatives:

However, it seems that Malimar(The latest review I am able to see) Is correct, though Canterlot is the background, it does seem to pull your eyes away from Celestia, and draw attention more toward the cityscape. Also, her wings seem a tad bit large in my opinion, and very rugged, a little sharp, and possibly too rustled at the very top. The balcony as well, could have used maybe something displayative under where she stands... as it seems to have just a big blank spot of black's, to light tan-gold colors, and ends just there.

Neutralities:

There seem to be numerous things I cannot seem to critisize, nor openly accept. The Pheonix, her hair, and the sky. They seem in place, but I cannot say much more than this. Not to say they are not well done. What I believe however, is perhpas someone else with a higher level grading technique could find more to say. Also, though the artwork is quite adept in skill, I have a dead nuetral 2.5 stars from it, as this does not openly surprise me that someone would attempt to do practically anything in relation to humanizing Celestia. Good or bad Is not what I'm trying to get at, it is very good, just not... "Wow!", material, at least in my own opinion.
