I've thought about painting Chrysalis for a good while. Simply picturing her just being her seemed a bit bland, so I decided to go for kind of an aftermath picture of the episode ending. Where did she land? Did she ever survive?

Somewhere far, far away in the southern borderlands of Equestria...

Hopefully the latter. People raged at how they did Discord's return and besides she's too evil for me to want her redeemed. I hope they leave it up to us to decide what happens after she falls. I'd be inclined to think she fell to her death (and put this pic in my headcanon!), others might want her banished forever and living in this area in exile, others might take comics as canon and say she stays imprisoned in her castle, others might write their own fanfics about her return

I can understand the sympathy people feel for Chrysalis here, sometimes I almost want to feel sorry for her, but she kinda loses sympathy from me by turning Twilight's friends, Celestia, and Shining Armor against her. Twilight had really good relationships with all of them, she and Shining Armor never had a single fight before then (BBBFF), the Mane 6's friendship was so powerful it defeated Nightmare Moon and Discord (and were even connected before they met, because of Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom), and she was Celestia's faithful student, and the only other time Celestia got angry at her she remained understanding and forgiving. Chrysalis almost destroyed all that forever, and would have too if she hadn't been so foolish as to lock Twilight in the caves. That's one of the reasons I want her DEAD. Atleast with Discord he corrupted them with his power, Chrysalis got them doing it of their own accord.

Despite that she's still my favorite villain

I love this and the other picture related to this one just because it fits so well,I honestly don't believe the changlings to be evil just starved and trying to acquire food(best kind of villain is one you can sympathize with),this just paints a story of where they might come from and the condition of their land,though you specify this is the aftermath of her defeat it can still relate
